In his practice as a  consultant, John has worked with a diverse roster of clients including: Hitz Boxing; Robin Kelly for Congress; Planet Hollywood International; The Center for Community Change; Chicago’s ESPN RADIO 1000; Ty, creator of the

wildly popular Beanie Babies®; and the City of Gary’s Miss USA Host Committee. He also worked on General Wesley Clark’s 2004 presidential campaign as statewide director for Illinois, where he oversaw media relations, fundraising, ballot access and delegate recruitment efforts.

Mr. Moore served as marketing manager for the State of Illinois and was responsible for the marketing strategy of selected initiatives as directed by the Governor’s office as well as the consolidation of marketing communication personnel.

He also served as a Public Relations Manager for Planet Hollywood, handling the publicity, marketing, special event planning and execution for its Chicago, Indianapolis and Gurnee, IL units. While with the company, Mr. Moore also served on the public relations team for its sports themed venture, Official All-Star Cafe. He is a veteran of over 15 Planet Hollywood/Official All-Star Cafe grand opening galas and numerous special events throughout North America. Prior to joining Planet Hollywood Mr. Moore was an account executive at John Iltis Associates (JIA), an advertising and public relations agency specializing in the entertainment industry. Mr. Moore’s clients included Planet Hollywood, Dave & Busters, Columbia Pictures, Gramercy and Castle Rock Entertainment. While at JIA, Mr. Moore had the privilege of being part of the team the introduced the world to the magnificent documentary “Hoop Dream’s,” an opportunity that he counts as his most fulfilling professional experience.

In addition to operating gestaltstrategies, John is a member of the adjunct faculty in the Communication and Media Innovation Department at Columbia College Chicago. He is a certified cultural diversity/prejudice reduction trainer as well as a marketing communication advisor to the National Coalition Building Institute based in Washington DC and he serves as director for the organization’s Illinois chapter.

Mr. Moore received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Dayton in 1990. He currently serves on the board of directors for Housing Choice Partners. He most recently served as Chairman of the Board for Struggling Youth Equals Successful Adults as well as on the boards of directors of Inner City Games Chicago, LaSalle Street Foundation and Independent Feature Project Midwest.
